Abstract

Investment attraction plays an extremely important role for each location because a business-friendly environment creates job opportunities, reduces unemployment, increases income levels and welfare for local people, thereby determining economic growth and development. The study conducted a survey of 100 enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was performed to simultaneously evaluate the measurement model and the structural model. Research results confirmed the traditional role of infrastructure and human resources in attracting investment to the location. In addition, the study also provides empirical evidence that public policy and services, working environment and import attraction have no statistically significant impact on investment attraction in HCMC. Besides, Importance-Performance Map Analysis (IPMA) results showed that the performance of infrastructure and human resources in HCMC was only in the range of 50-75%. This raises concerns for policymakers in prioritizing the further improvement of two factors: infrastructure and human resources in HCMC.

Abstract

This study aims to understand female civil servants' organisation commitment and working motivation in the public sector in Ca Mau province. Based on data from direct interviews with 200 female civil servants and public employees in the research area, descriptive statistical methods, the Likert scale, and exploratory factor analysis (EFA) were employed to understand the influencing factors. The results of the data analysis revealed that seven factors positively impact the engagement of female civil servants, including nature of work, leadership, training and promotion opportunities, working conditions, colleagues, income, and benefits. Based on the research results, some recommendations are proposed to improve the level of employee engagement in the public administration, including encouraging and creating more favorable conditions for female employees and raising awareness for civil servants to remove prejudices and cultural barriers that exist against women. In addition, building a public culture that shows that employees receive support, respect, and trust from leaders is necessary.

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the factors affecting the green food consumption intention of citizens in Ho Chi Minh city (HCMC). The Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) and the Importance Performance Matrix Analysis (IPMA) have been employed in modeling green food consumption intention based on the surveyed data of 200 people in the city. Research results show that environmental concerns, health awareness and service quality are three factors that have statistically significant impacts on the green food consumption intention. Label trust and price have no significant effect on green food consumption. Besides, service quality is the lowest performed factor even though it has the highest importance, leading to the consumption intention. This implies focusing on improving service quality to encourage green food consumption intention.

Abstract

Japanese architecture always orients the style of an era, serves as a statement of social position, and is especially closely linked to nature because the Japanese have long held the belief that living in nature also is living with flowers. Political, cultural, social, and religious changes have influenced the symbolism and aesthetic principles of Japanese home architecture in each historical era. Particularly, Shinden Zukuri is regarded as a representation of the opulent way of life of the Royal Family and Heian aristocrats; it honors all the values of daily life, which are modest but noble, decorated by building materials to internal structures inside and outside of the house, to the arrangement of objects, to the combination with nature, etc. all are surprisingly harmonious. The Heian Imperial Palace is a typical Shinden Zukuri style model, a unique and classic visual art found only in Japan. The genesis and evolution of Shinden Zukuri architecture were discussed in the paper, along with a brief description of how it appeared in the Heian Imperial Palace. Both the domestic space’s essential qualities and the garden landscaping structure are described simultaneously to clarify their unique features and religious influences.
