Abstract

Teaching reading comprehension using a genre-based approach has posed some sophisticated requirements to text organization. Examining the short stories in The 11th grade Literature textbook (Volume 1), this paper analyzes and evaluates their ability in meeting the requirements of the genre- based approach as well as proposes how to order these texts to fit those requirements.
