Abstract

As a writer from Kyrgyzstan, matured in the post-war, Soviet era, Chinghiz Aitmatov directly faced with contemporary social and moral crises. Therefore, he used folklore both as an artistic innovation and as a screen to express his wisely attitudes, thoughts, helping his works escape from harsh censorship. Each of his works were derived from the hometown mountains, imbued with nationality, and full of profound humanity, crystallined eternal truths.
