Abstract

The study was conducted to measure factors affecting the business performance of companies listed Vietnam’s stock markets. The data was collected from 240 financial statements of 20 listed companies in the field of information technology from 2019 through 2020. Results from the statistical analysis showed that companies’ revenues, management costs, and profits have steadily increased over the years, but the rate of increase in profits was higher than the cost, and there were significant differences in companies’ revenues, management costs, and profits based on the gender of the leader. The results of the panel data model using Fixed Effects Model (FEM), Random Effects Model (REM) and overcoming the disease with Generalized Least Squares (GLS) showed that the proportion of women on the board, the concurrent holding of director position, financial leverage, the size of the company by assets and the number of years of operation of the company significantly affected the business performance of companies.
