Abstract

The images of monsters in the Vietnamese folk-tales is both a virtual transformation formed “human”, and have the characteristics of the world of all species. The monsters do not only assassinate humans, or have human fascination with cunning properties, but also has certain personality traits. The monsters images together with contemporary social consciousness forms such as demonic beliefs, customs and human life have a close relationship with each other.
